I'm experimenting with the digital process still. I don't so much like it for making the final piece, but I've discovered it's flexibility for refining roughs at a lower resolution. So today, I did "digital pencils" instead of "digital inks". The digital pencils are done at a resolution of 100DPI (I typically scan my inks at 300DPI). I also see that it's good with spotting out potentially nice areas of black. Adds more contrast to the page.
So the thumbnail started off like this:
I took it into the GIMP and refined it some more so that it looks like this:
Now, I'm gonna take a break and then come back to it later. If I decide nothing needs to be changed, I'll convert all the black to magenta, print it out and ink it by hand :3
